Margaret Rhodes studied fine art at Wimbledon School of Art and technical and scientific illustration in Bedfordshire. She is currently a governor on the Board of Directors at the Federation of British Artists (FBA),Vice President of the Hesketh Hubbard Art Society, Mall Galleries, London and an honorary member of The Arts Club, Dover Street, London.

She is the mother of Bedfordshire artist Emma Rhodes, mother-in-law to musician Annette Rhodes (co-founder of baroque group "My Lady's Chamber"), and daughter-in-law to author Elvi Rhodes.
