Malta Township, DeKalb County, Illinois

Malta Township is located in DeKalb County, Illinois. The population was 1,402 at the 2000 census. Malta Township was originally formed as Etna Township from a portion of DeKalb Township in September, 1856. The name was later changed from Etna to Malta in December 1858.
