LTTV

LTTV

Lyons Township Television, or LTTV, is a Television station. LTTV is co-educational and serves Lyons Township High School District 204 in Illinois, which includes the communities of La Grange, Western Springs, Burr Ridge, La Grange Park, Countryside, Indian Head Park, Hodgkins, and parts of Brookfield and Willow Springs.

History

1982

A small group of students from the TV Production Class propose an extra-curricular club to allow them to use the new LTHS video equipment after school. Students make tapes to play on the cable systems trying to win the franchise in the area. Jack Wiesemes agrees to be the sponsor and works with the local villages during the franchise process.

1992

Ten year anniversary is widely celebrated. No one thought it would last ten years!

2005

Making the best decision in entire history of LTTV, they decide to join forces with WLTL for Rock-A-Thon. It is a joyous occasion.

2007- Chicagoland High School Video Festival First, Second, and Third Place Awards in Live Event Coverage: Sports Third Place Award in Live Event Coverage: Performing Arts

Sophomore Kim Gorey took the 1st place award for "LT Boys' Basketball: LT vs. Hinsdale Central" Junior Tyler Nelson took the 2nd place award for "LT Boys' Basketball: Pack the Place" Junior Ben Klingberg took the 3rd place tie for "LT Girls' Basketball: Pack the Place"

In the category of Live Event Coverage: Performing Arts (22 total entries in the category). Junior Parker Warf took the 3rd place award for "Eurythmics: Dream Fast"
