Losonczi, Pál, 1919-2005, Hungarian Communist politician. He joined the Communist party in 1945 and became a member of parliament in 1953. Active in the cooperative farm program, Losonczi was minister of agriculture (1960-67). He was Hungarian president from 1967 to 1987.

Pál Losonczi (18 September 1919 – 28 March 2005) was a Hungarian Communist political figure. He was Chairman of the Hungarian Presidential Council (i.e., titular head of state) from 1967 to 1987.
