Rear-Admiral Charles James FitzGerald, 1st Baron Lecale,
PC (
30 June 1756 –
18 February 1810), known as
Lord Charles FitzGerald between 1761 and 1800, was an Irish peer and
Member of Parliament. He was the son of the
20th Earl of Kildare (later 1st Marquess of Kildare and then 1st Duke of Leinster), and was created
Baron Lecale, of
Ardglass in the
County of Down, in the
Peerage of Ireland in 1800. Lord Lecale's only son, Henry, died at sea in 1803, and so when he died in 1810 the Barony of Lecale became extinct.
