Lifelike (real name
'Laurent Heinrich) is a
house music producer from
Strasbourg, Alsace.
Biography
Heinrich signed to the Parisian label
20000ST in 2001. His first single on the label, "The Soul of My Love" featured samples from
New York soul singer
Mandel Turner. The single was reaching fifth place on the French dance chart with support by Parisian
Radio FG and DJs including
Alex Gopher. The 2nd Single called "Black Chess" was released in 2002.
After remixing artists such as Annie, OT Quartet, Demon and Sébastien Léger, Heinrich met up with France-based German producer and labelowner Kris Menace and released the Single "Running Out" on Menace´s Work it Baby Label beginning of 2005. Later, Lifelike and Kris Menace released together the track Discopolis on Vulture Music, a Label owned by Alan Braxe. Due the Huge success of the Track, it was re-released in 2006 on Defected Records with a music video from Seb Janiak and new remixes by Braxe, Chris Lake and Kerri Chandler.
