Lapo Pistelli

Lapo Pistelli (born on 20 June 1964 in Florence) is an Italian politician and Member of the European Parliament for Central with the Democratic Party, Vice-Chairman of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, Chairman Delegation for relations with South Africa and member Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs.

He is a substitute for the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Committee on Constitutional Affairs and the Delegation for relations with the Gulf States, including Yemen.

  • 1992-1995: Member of the Regional Executive with responsibility for schools
  • 1996-2004: Member of the Chamber of Deputies of Italy
  • 1996-1999: Vice-Chairman of the PPI-Ulivo group
  • 2001-2004: Member of the parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE
