Lamellaria cerebroides is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Velutinidae.
This species is endemic
to New Zealand
including the Auckland Islands
This species lives at depths of between 55 and 75 m
The shell is much larger than Lamellaria ophione
, more globosely-rotund, with the spire
coiling clearly visible from the aperture
. The animal is 50 to 60 mm
in length, the surface much wrinkled, reddish-brown, marbled with yellowish-grey.
The shell height is up to 23 mm, and width is up to 27 mm.
