. He is 177cm tall, and weighs about 75 kg.
Early Years and Olympiakos
Choutos started his career playing for A.S. Roma
at the age of 16, but he has often been injured and so he has never shown all the potential talent that he had already shown in youth teams. Lampros as a youth was playing for Asteras Polygonou. There he was discovered from the scouts of Panathinaikos
and immediately joined Panathinaikos
youth team. However, he did not spend there more than 2 years and his talent brought him to Rome
for A.S. Roma
. Even so, his first professional club was in Greece Olympiakos
who took him on loan from Roma after some great games with the Greek U-21 national team, with whom he scored a record 15 goals in the qualifying rounds for the 2000 European U-21 Championship
. In Olympiakos, under the direction of Italian coach Alberto Bigon
he easily made his way in the first team where he formed a great tandem with Zlatko Zahovic
and Brazilian star Giovanni
. Although he suffered from an injured knee, Choutos managed to score many decisive goals, making him one of the team's most popular players. He won the 2000
and 2003 championships
titles with the Red and Whites before returning to Italy, notably to Internazionale
He signed 3 year contract with Inter in summer 2004, whpre he could not settle down and was constantly loaned to other minor teams as well as spending time in with the Personal traner Fabio MartellaSpain
He made his first competitive Inter debut in Coppa Italia against F.C. Messina Peloro, November 9, 2006, replace Mariano Gonzalez in 78 min. This came after many years with Inter playing friendlies and being loaned out several times to teams including RCD Mallorca where he had a poor relationship with one Hector Cuper. He finally left the obscurity of being owned by Inter at the end of the 2006-07 season.
Choutos made an impressive return, not only to Greek football, but once again being a regular in the starting 11. Having played only two games in the Greece Super League
he was given a start against AEK Athens
in the OAKA
. He scored two of the three goals to sink AEK at home and won MVP for the game.
He again kept up his scoring record at the start of the 2008-09 season scoring 2 goals for panionios in their 3-1 in the Intertoto cup 2nd round match.
