Transformers: Beast Wars Transmetals

Transformers: Beast Wars Transmetals is a fighting game for the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation. It was released in 2000. Though the Playstation version was available at regular mass retail, the N64 version was available only for rental at Blockbuster Video and eventually sold as a used game. The Japanese version of the N64 game was compatible with the game Ketō Transformers Beast Wars: Beast Senshi Saikyō Ketteisen with the use of the Transfer Pak. The game is based on the Beast Wars toy series.

General Info

• A button — Vehicle/Robot Mode
• B button — Vehicle/Beast Mode
• C left — Charging Projectile (similar to a Fatality)
• C right — Single Shot Projectile
• C up — Missile
• C down — Defense/Blocking
• Z button — Jump
• L or R buttons — Life Force Attack

In Robot Mode, your energy drains slowly, and you must change to Beast Mode to recharge, then you will have unlimited energy (but only on Very Easy and Easy; in Normal, Hard, and Very Hard, your energy drains again).

This game is most notable for the voice acting, which employs many of the actual voice actors from the cartoon to replay their characters. Both versions of the game are also very different from each other:

• Approximately four characters (Starscream, Waspinator, Airazor, and Terrorsaur) are missing from the PlayStation version, replaced with Windrazor, Quickstrike, Rampage, and Silverbolt.
• The Playstation version only has two endings, one for each faction; the N64 version has individual endings for all characters.
• The N64 version contains several mini-games that can be played; the PlayStation version has no such games.
