Kathy DiShirdal was born to parents Ruth Freed DiShirdal and Kevin DiShirdal. She is an only child. She moved to Montreal, Quebec at the age of 5. She was discovered at a school play. She played a talking rock. She tried out for the role of Mordecai in Deleted Scenes at the age of 13 and won.
