Timothy Lee Hoggard (born November 12, 1982 in Henderson, Kentucky), better known by his stage name Kasper From The K, is an up and coming rap/hip-hop artist garnering substantial radio airplay across the United States. His singles “Watchagondo” and “Shake It Down” have been played over 4500 times in 2008. He has performed or will be performing at shows in various radio markets this summer including Utica, NY, Reno, NV, Peoria, IL, Casper, WY and Green Bay, WI to support this airplay.
Among Kasper’s influences are Eminem, Dr. Dre, Nelly and the many other mid-eighties and nineties popular artists. He credits Southern rap quintet Nappy Roots, as being the most influential in his development.
Kasper’s career took off when he reunited with childhood friend, and producer, Joel Hopper who has previously worked with Nappy Roots, Static Major and The Villebillies. After spending long hours in Hopper’s Louisville studio discussing their mutual love of hip-hop they began working on the “Kasper Sound.”
Kasper From the K quickly developed a solid following in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana and after a station in Evansville, Indiana began playing his music and he came to the attention of Bill Scull who immediately signed him to his EO Music label, which subsequently released the single “Watchagondo”. Since then, the single has been garnering airplay at radio stations all over the country where it has, consistently, been a top requested song.
Kasper also appears on the Xbox 360 game soundtrack for MX vs. ATV Untamed , alongside well-known artists such as Nickelback, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Used and My Chemical Romance.
Kasper is currently touring the U.S. promoting the single "Watchagondo". A 6 song EP will be released on EO Music/Adrenaline on September 16, 2008 featruing the tracks "Watchagondo", "Shake it Down", "Nasty Girl", "Can't Stop Now", "Kwad Up" and "It's My Party".
