WKEE-FM

WKEE-FM (100.5 FM, "100 KEE-FM") is a CHR Top 40 music formatted radio station serving the "Tri-State area" of Huntington, West Virginia, Ashland, Kentucky, and Ironton, Ohio. WKEE is a "grandfathered" radio station, and the second most powerful FM radio station licensed in the state of West Virginia, with an Effective Radiated Power of 53,000 watts. WKEE also uses a 27,000 watt auxiliary station for backup. WKEE was formerly owned by AM-FM Licenses, and now owned by Clear Channel Communications, along with WAMX, WBKS, WBVB, WTCR, WTCR-FM, and WVHU-AM.

WKEE is currently up for sale, along with its sister stations in the market.

History

WKEE was once known as WHTN-FM, beginning in 1947.

Programming

Notable on-air personalities include "On Air with Sheila and Jim Davis" on mornings, Brian Scott on mid-days, Gary "Music" Miller on afternoons, Derek Levine on evenings, and Tyler Joseph on overnights. Weekend programming includes the syndicated "American Top 40" hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
