Jewell Wallace

William Jewell Wallace (– ) was an American football coach. He coached at the University of Houston in its inaugural two football seasons from 1946-1947, guiding the school to a 7–14 record overall. Wallace was a 1934 graduate of Texas Christian University. He began his coaching career at the high school ranks and coached at El Paso Bowie, El Paso, Greenville, San Angelo and San Antonio Jefferson, intermitted by short college stints at TCU and Houston.
