She is played by Claire Cooper who made her debut in September 2006.
Jacqui was first seen in the soap when she arrived home from prison, only to mistake Russ Owen for a burglar. Jacqui then told Mercedes that if Mercedes did not have a pair of expensive shoes that Mercedes had promised to keep safe for her, then Jacqui would get to sleep with Russ. Mercedes no longer had the shoes, and spent all day trying to replace them, only to find out Jacqui was winding her up. Jacqui then had to retrieve some money from Davey (who she used to work for and who put her in prison) and keep it safe for him. Jacqui's sister Carmel, not realizing the money was obtained through criminal means, stole it from Jacqui so she could buy breast implants. Mercedes persuaded Russ to find the money in order to repay Davey, and Myra gave him the money she had, along with three engagement rings. That still was not quite enough, but Davey went away after Jacqui promised she'd do a favour for him.
Soon after coming to Hollyoaks, she met Tony Hutchinson and had a one night stand with him, They met in the pub one night quickly they were upstairs. This inspired Tony to go on holiday and sort his life out. When Tony returned to Hollyoaks, the two reunited and became a couple once again, but as Jacqui violated her tag with Tony (she stayed at his house all night instead of leaving at 7pm) she was then imprisoned again; the pressures of this made it too hard for Tony to cope and he broke off the relationship.
Jacqui was released from jail with a grudge for Justin Burton as he put Becca Dean in jail. She made good friends with Becca and was adamant that she would force Justin to tell the truth. Justin eventually did tell the truth, but on the day Becca was due to be released, she was stabbed and killed by cell mate Fran.
Jacqui took Becca's death hard and decided to make something of herself, realising how precious life is. However, she was forced by Davey to marry Albanian Aleksander Malota for a British Visa. She and Aleksander managed to convince an immigration officer that their relationship was genuine, and were married in a registrar ceremony. Jacqui's little sister Mercedes knew that something wasn't right with Jacqui's 'relationship' with Aleksander. However, the whole family found out the truth about the marriage being a sham when Carmel and Alek were found to be having an affair by Jacqui, who kept quiet, and then by John Paul. Unbeknownst to John Paul and Alek, Myra was listening in as they discussed the situation. Myra, however, believed that the affair was between Alek and John Paul. When she confronted John Paul about this, he vehemently denied it and pressured Carmel and Alek to admit to their affair. Myra reacted angrily as she initially believed Jacqui and Alek's marriage to be genuine. However, the whole truth emerged during an argument between Jacqui and Carmel when Jacqui admitted she had only married Alek to pay off her debt to Davey and that it was preferable to being back in jail. She also admitted she had been seeing Tony the whole time. Myra was incredulous and ordered Jacqui, Alek and Carmel to leave the house, though she later allowed them to return, realizing that Jacqui could ultimately end up back in jail if it emerged that her marriage was false.
Jacqui later appeared in a bridal shop with her sisters. She took a disliking to the shop keeper which ended up with the shop keeper being locked in the changing rooms. Jacqui and her sisters, whilst still wearing the dresses, did a runner from the shop without paying.
Jacqui, Carmel and Tina found Clare Cunningham's unconscious body below The Loft balcony, after she had been pushed off. They phoned an ambulance for Clare, and Jacqui also found Calvin Valentine's mobile phone next to Clare.
Whilst looking back at a video of her and Tina's cat fight on the street, just outside the Loft and around the time Clare was pushed off the balcony, Jacqui and her sisters spotted Sam "O.B." O'Brien in the background, placing him at The Loft around the time of the attempt on Clare's life. No-one informed the Police of this, instead Jacqui told Tony, an old friend of OB's.
At the double wedding of Mercedes and Russ and Tina and Dom, Jacqui told Tony that she was pregnant. Although he showed no initial concerns to Jacqui, Tony was later seen to be connecting this pregnancy with the death of his baby daughter, Grace. In the next few days, Tony avoided Jacqui. When he eventually came round to speak to Jacqui, he told her that he didn't want the child and Jacqui threw him out - apparently ending their relationship. However, Tony comes round to the idea and Jacqui soon moves in with him. Jacqui and Tony begin to look forward to their future together as a family, however, devastating news from the hospital that Jacqui has suffered a miscarriage puts things at a halt, afterwards she was then told she may never be able to have children after complications with the operation to remove the fetus.
When Jacqui lost her baby, Tony beat up Alek as he felt it was his fault that he couldn't grieve for his baby in public. Tony announces to the shocked onlookers in The Dog that the baby was in fact his. Jacqui asks Alek to go back to Albania and he agrees. When Carmel finds out she is shocked and begs him to stay. However when Carmel goes to the chip shop, Alek goes to Albania leaving Carmel devastated.
Still deeply depressed about losing the baby, Jacqui became increasingly self destructive. She began to fall back on old habits, going on a robbing spree, including stealing wine from the Drive 'n' Buy. When Neville noticed the missing bottles and checked the CCTV, he called the police, despite Tony's pleas. After spending the night in a cell, Jacqui had a row with Myra about her behaviour. She accused Myra of being a bad mother and suggested it would have been better if Myra had had her aborted, which she immediately regretted. After an emotional talk with Tony, in which she claimed she wasn't good enough for him, Jacqui realized she really loved Tony and that Tony loved her, despite her being unable to have children and the two reconciled and shared a kiss.
In November, Jacqui planned a big surprise party for Tony's 30th birthday. The surprised was on her when Tina invited everyone in his address book, including his old girlfriends. One, Izzy, who was also infertile, comforted Jacqui, but another, Tessie, shocked the couple by revealing she had had a son by Tony eight years ago. Jacqui tried to bond with the boy, Harry, but he had no use for her. Jacqui gave Tony an ultimatum, Harry or her, but was left shocked as Tony chose Harry before telling her he'd had enough. She went back to her original home and to the comfort of her mum Myra. Meanwhile, Tony and Mercedes shared their pain, which led to sex. After their encounter, Jacqui was on a bench across from II Gnosh, Tony walked out and Jacqui says she is sorry for making him choose between her and Harry. Tony cuddled Jacqui and they were back together. She then decided to change her last name back to McQueen, following her sister Mercedes statement moments earlier.
When the family found out Mercedes was pregnant, Jacqui wanted Mercedes to let her and Tony raise the baby (she did not know Tony had had sex with Mercedes). Instead, Mercedes had an abortion, infuriating Jacqui. Myra offered to be the surrogate, but Jacqui told her she'd already had enough kids. Tina then offered, but her husband Dominic refused to let her. He soon gave in and let Tina become a surrogate.
When Tina and Jacqui go to the hospital for Tina's 12 week scan, Tina and Jacqui think the worst when they can't see the unborn baby until the nurse shows them. When Mercedes comes Jacqui speaks to her while the nurse tells Tina that the baby is 15 weeks, then Tina has a flashback and is shocked when it is revealed that Russ is actually the father of the baby instead of Tony.
Tina then speaks to Jacqui and tells her the truth. Jacqui is shocked by what she hears and yells at Tina. She asks Tina to leave Il Gnosh and Tina leaves in tears, while Jacqui lies on the floor leaning on the door crying.
The next day Tina tells Jacqui she's going to tell Dom the truth and that Jacqui should tell Tony but as Tina is about to tell Dom what happened, Jacqui comes and tells her to not tell anyone including Dom and Tony.
