Jacob Kraemer (born May 19, 1990) is a Canadian actor. He began acting in early 2003 and became known to young audiences after his role in The Elizabeth Smart Story and as a regular on Disney and Family's Naturally, Sadie. And also had a part in Degrassi.
Kraemer grew up in Pelham, Ontario
, and now resides in Toronto.
Career and Awards
In 2003, Kraemer played Andrew Smart in the CBS made for TV movie, The Elizabeth Smart Story
, viewed by 20 million people. In 2005, he began to appear in a guest role on the Canadian-produced comedy television program Naturally, Sadie
. Jacob appeared in two episodes of Naturally Sadie
in the first season and almost all episodes in the second and third season. Since appearing in Naturally Sadie
, he has filmed a pilot called Glimmer
which was later changed to The Latest Buzz
, a TV series set to air sometime in 2007 or 2008. This show was recast with a much younger cast and the actors who did the pilot did not continue on for the series. He was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV series (Comedy or Drama) - Recurring Young Actor for Naturally Sadie
in 2007. He was also nominated for Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Movie, Miniseries or Special - Supporting Young Actor for the Elizabeth Smart Story
in 2004. He also filmed a pilot called Stump
that has yet to be aired. It is produced by Spencer Rice of Kenny vs. Spenny.
Currently, Jacob wrapped production on the made for t.v. pilot "Aaron Stone". He has landed the lead role on a new series in production now, titled Overruled
formerly titled High Court
. It will air in the Spring 2009 on the Family Channel in Canada and the Disney Channel in the U.S.
