Ion Cristoiu (born November 16, 1948, Găgeşti, Vrancea County) is a Romanian journalist with some influence in the early 1990s, famous for establishing the so called "quick journalism" - sappy stories and nude women for the readers.

Lost a trial against a woman journalist he called bad names and sold his house to pay the fine of 250 million ROL (approx. US$10,000).

He founded in 1993 the daily Evenimentul Zilei and was an unofficial counselor for president Emil Constantinescu.

Presently, he writes for Jurnalul Naţional, a paper owned by Dan Voiculescu, the founder of the Conservative Party (Partidul Conservator).
