It has recently completed first phases of supply chain management solution for Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA). Like other automotive producers, Mitsubishi uses many diverse stamping parts produced by suppliers to assemble their vehicles. All suppliers need steel to produce the parts, and Mitsubishi coordinates purchasing steel for all suppliers in order to buy steel cheaper and make sure that all suppliers have enough materials to meet Mitsubishi's production demands. INTERSOG's solution addresses the automotive producer's supply chain starting right back from the steel suppliers and stampers that produce individual parts for vehicles and their subcontractors. Reps from all involved parties can easily access one and same system, through the web, and see different slices of data based on their access rights and business functions. Two components of the solution are Order Planning application and Parts Database application. The system is deployed on AS400 (IBM iSeries) platform using IBM WebSphere. The solution is hosted by ADS Logistics and integrated with existing ADS system LoMaS.
