Iceland–Switzerland relations

Icelandic-Swiss relations are foreign relations between Iceland and Switzerland. Switzerland recognized the Republic of Iceland in January 1947, and the two countries have maintained diplomatic relations since 1951. Iceland is represented in Switzerland through its embassy in Brussel (Belgium), Iceland also has 3 honorary consulates in Bern, Geneva, Zürich. Switzerland is represented in Iceland through its embassy in Oslo (Norway), Switzerland also has an honorary consulate in Reykjavik. Both countries are full member of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
