Homo Oeconomicus (HOEC) is an interdisciplinary journal devoted to the study of classical and neoclassical economics, public choice, social choice, law & economics, and philosophy & economics. The journal was founded in 1983 by Manfred J. Holler. It is peer reviewed and maintains a unique intellectual character and promotes true scholarship through a philosophy of editorial independence as well as a genuine dialogue between authors, referees and editors. Homo Oeconomicus is published as one volume (3-4 issues) of approx. 500 pages per year.
