Heilig-Meyers was a furniture store that was founded in 1913 by two Lithuanian immigrants who named the store after their surnames. Their headquarters were in
Richmond, Virginia, and the store became the largest furniture retailer in
United States of America by the 1980s. Heilig-Meyers filed for bankruptcy in August 2000 because of their failure to make debt payments. It was also the main sponsor for
Bobby Hillin, Jr.,
Dick Trickle and
Mike Wallace during their
NASCAR careers at one point in time.
