On a whim the parrot handler (whose secondary function at Ambrosia is PR and Media Liaison) John "MagnusApollo" Champlin, thought it best for her overall health for Hector to get a full body and blood work done by the local Vet. It was then that the Ambrosia Crew were shocked to find that "Hector" was really "Hectora". It was about a year later that she confirmed the doctor's findings by laying an unfertilized egg. She did not care for the egg and simply dismissed it as a slight annoyance. She still lives happily in the Ambrosia office and can be seen in the foyer in her new custom made home.
In the Escape Velocity series of games, Hector appears as a pilot in a nigh-invulnerable ship, reminding the player that the games are shareware. After thirty days, Hector will attack the player if the game has not been purchased.
