"Here We Go" is a hip hop-R&B song written by American songwriters Katarina Taylor, Derrick Baker, Josh Burke, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Theodore Lucas, Teedra Moses, James Scheffer and Steven Scipio for Trina's third album Glamorest Life (2005). The song featured R&B Kelly Rowland, who sung the chorus and the bridge in the song. The song was released as the album's first single in North America in September 2005, becoming Trina's first solo Top 20 hit ("One Minute Man" which was a song by Missy Elliot and where she was a featured artist on the single) with peak position at #17 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Elsewhere released in April 2006, "Here We Go" also saw success in Europe, reaching number 15 on the UK singles chart. The song uses a sample from "Tender Love", a 1986 top ten single from R&B outfit Force M.D's. Kelly Rowland has also recorded a cover of the song. The song's beat is probably from the beginning of the song Days Of Our Lives by Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.
The song was certified gold by the RIAA on 6/14/06.
The original version of the song features vocals from Teedra Moses, later replaced by Kelly Rowland.
Trina included a remix version of the song on her mixtape Rockstarr: The Baddest Bitch Reloaded, with a new verse from herself as well as a verse from Lil' Wayne
Rasual Butler starred in the music video for "Here We Go".

"HERE WE GO" is May J.'s first debut single released on December 20, 2006 featuring m-flo member, rapper VERBAL. Despite having released a collaborative single and a mini-album in the past, May J. had not yet released a solo single. The song received no promotion other than its performance at Cassie's concert in Tokyo, and hence performed poorly on the Oricon charts, debuting and peaking at just number 70.
The single features a remix of her first promoted song, "MY GIRLS" from her mini-album All my girls. However, the version found on this single has one major difference, other than the fact that it's remixed; the single version is written entirely in English, reflecting May J.'s American background.
"HERE WE GO" was also the ending theme song for popular music show Hey! Hey! Hey! for the month of December.
A remix of "HERE WE GO" featuring VERBAL and Taro Soul is included on May J.'s second single, "Dear...".
