HD 162020 b
HD 162020 b is a brown dwarf with
mass 15.0
MJ. The mass is minimum since
inclination is not known. This
planetar orbits very close to the star at a
distance of 0.075
AU. Despite of this, it has an
eccentric orbit of 27.7%. The distance from the star ranges from 0.054 to 0.096 AU. It has an extremely high semi-
amplitude of 1813 m/s.
In 2002, Stephen Udry discovered HD 162020 b taking place in California. Udry was the same person who discovered two super-Earth planets orbiting around Gliese 581.
