The Great Canadian Baycon is a gaming convention held in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It takes place near the beginning of May each year. The 2006 event will occur at the Hamilton Ramada Hotel, from April 28 to 30. The event website is http://www.greatcanadianbaycon.com

Major scheduled events include game tournaments for Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pirates of the Spanish Main, and the All-Canada Championship of the popular board game Settlers of Catan.

Separate halls will be set up for wargames (such as Flames of War), board games (such as Carcassonne), and roleplaying games (such as Dungeons & Dragons and Vampire: The Masquerade). There will also be a vendors' room, with dozens of retail stores, publishers and game designers attending.

This year's guest of honor will be Jamie Chambers, a well-published game author whose credits include the Serenity (Firefly) Roleplaying Game.
