Gothic is the second full-length album released by British Heavy metal band Paradise Lost.

It's a seminal work, being one of the major influences on the modern genres of Doom metal (especially on the Doom/Death sub-genre) along with albums such as Candlemass' Epicus Doomicus Metallicus and My Dying Bride's Turn Loose the Swans.. Of particular note is the use of female vocals, rather unconventional in Heavy metal scene at the time. The album is also considered as one of the first to which the tag "Gothic metal" can be applied.

The 2003 re-release of this album appended two remixes of songs from Lost Paradise, bringing the total running time to 49 minutes and 30 seconds.

Remixed/live versions of "Eternal", "Gothic" and "The Painless" appear on the 2003 digipak re-release of Lost Paradise.
