Giacomo ("Jack") Galanda (born january 30, 1975 in Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia) is an Italian professional basketball player. He his a forward-center of 210 cm and 105 kg.
In 1998 he was leased to Pallacanestro Varese, where he was a leader of the team that surpisingly won the championship. Galanda therefore returned to Bologna, where he remained until 2003, when he was traded to Montepaschi Siena. He won two further championships in 2000 and 2004. In 2005-2006, Galanda played for Armani Jeans Milano. Since 2006-2007, he plays for Pallacanestro Varese.
Galanda made his debut for Italian national basketball team in 1997, and soon turned into one of the more representative players from his country. His successes with Azzurri jersey include a silver and a gold medals at the European Championships (1997 and 1999, respectively), and a silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics of Athens.
