German Journal for Evidence and Quality in Healthcare ZEFQ

The German Journal vor Evidence and Quality in Healthcare - in German Zeitschrift für Evidenz, Fortbildung und Qualität im Gesundheitswesen (ZEFQ) - is the leading German language periodical focussing on evidence-based medicine.

The journal was founded in 1904 as German Journal for Continuous Medical Education (Zeitschrift für ärztliche Fortbildung) by Ernst von Bergmann. Present Editor-in-chief is Günter Ollenschläger, director of the German Agency for Quality in Medicine since 1995. ZEFQ is published by Elsevier Germany, and publishes original research, reviews, commentaries, editorials, essays, medical news, and correspondence. The journal is the official organ of national and international EBM organisations, such as AWMF, DIMDI, German Agency for Quality in Medicine (AQUMED), German Cochrane Centre, German Network for Evidence Based Medicine (DNEbM), Guidelines International Network (G-I-N).
