Gemini

Gemini

[jem-uh-nahy, -nee]
Gemini [Lat.,=the twins], northern constellation lying on the ecliptic (the sun's apparent path through the heavens) between Taurus and Cancer, N of Canis Minor; it is one of the constellations of the zodiac. Gemini is traditionally depicted as two men. The two brightest stars in Gemini, Castor and Pollux (north of the bright star Procyon in Canis Minor), are two of the brightest stars in the sky and were identified by the Greeks with two children, in most accounts the twin sons of Zeus and Leda. The Egyptians identified the two stars with a pair of young goats. An annual meteor shower known as the Geminids appears to radiate from this constellation during the second week in December. Owing to the precession of the equinoxes, the summer solstice now lies in Gemini, rather than in Cancer as it did 2,000 years ago. Gemini reaches its highest point in the evening sky in February.

Series of 12 two-person spacecraft launched into Earth orbit by the U.S. between 1964 and 1967, following the one-person Mercury program and before the three-person Apollo program. Designed to test astronauts' ability to maneuver spacecraft manually, the Gemini series helped develop techniques for orbital rendezvous and docking, procedures that were required later in the Apollo Moon-landing missions. It also gave NASA engineers a chance to improve spacecraft environmental control and electrical power systems.

Gemini: Good vs. Evil is Krayzie Bone's fourth CD release (the third if one does not count Leatha Face: The Legends Underground (Part 1), which was an underground release). It was released on February 8 2005. He signed a one-album deal with then newly established Ball'r Records (which no longer exists). It was his first album in almost four years. The first week's sales were not as impressive as his previous albums, selling 21,253 first week, but the album had very little promotion. It felt back to the 167th position with 8,042 copies of the next week, followed by a near-to-dropout 196th spot with a low sales of 6,422 totaling 35,717 copies on the chart.
