A gang-nail or nail plate is a high strength fixing device used in construction and framing. It consists of a flat plate of metal with an array of nails on one of its sides.

Its primary use is to fix two or more pieces of framing timber together. There are specific varieties and shapes for fixing right angles through to specialised varieties accommodating specific structural joins.

There are also varieties named after their appearance/purpose like Strip-Gang-Nail which comes in long strips and can be bent around objects.

Hand nail plates are also available. These are sheet steel with holes but no spikes. Nails are hammered through the holes by hand.
