Gata, Sierra de, mountain range, W Spain. Between the valleys of the Douro and Tagus rivers, it separates León from Estremadura. Its highest point is the Jálama peak (5,577 ft/1,700 m).

History

From the end of 19th century to the mid-20th century, Nōgata flourished as the place of coal mines.

Chikuhō region had the largest output of coal in Japan. But as the energy changed from coal to oil, all coal mines were closed.

Nōgata has suffered from a declining population.

It exhibits a steam locomotive, the massive of coal, machines for digging, the coal miner's clothes, and so on.

Ongagawa riverside park

The riverside park is a place of rest and relaxation for people.

As spring comes, the yellow flowers blooms in the park.

In April, the Tulip Festival is held there. The park becomes so colorful and bright. About 200,000 people visit the festival for the period.

In July, the Firework show is held there and many people visit.
