Fumarylacetoacetate hydrolase (fumarylacetoacetase), also known as
FAH, is a human
gene.
Fumarylacetoacetate hydrolase is an enzyme which catalyzes the hydrolysis of 4-fumarylacetoacetate into fumarate and acetoacetate.
Pathology
Mutations in the FAH gene cause
type I tyrosinemia.
