Franconia–Springfield (Washington Metro)

Franconia-Springfield is a Washington Metro station in Springfield, Virginia, on the Blue Line. It is the southwestern terminus of the Blue Line.

The station serves a suburban area and is mostly used for commuters, with 5,069 spaces in Metro's biggest parking garage. It is located at the junction of Franconia-Springfield Parkway and Frontier Drive, and is considered to be a major transit hub, for the Virginia Railway Express, Metrobus, local and regional bus lines are all present. Commuter services began on June 29, 1997.
