The civil parish has an area of 12.04 km² and in the 2001 census had a population of 909 in 397 households. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the district of Great Yarmouth.
Fleggburgh lies between Acle and Great Yarmouth. It has two churches, one of which burnt down in the 18th century, and one primary school, it's a small school with three classrooms, a hall, an office. Only 50–60 children go there, but it's a very friendly, environmental school. Broadfarm, which is a camp site, started off as a pig farm. There are all sorts of activities there, starting from an outside swimming pool to a bar where you can relax and enjoy the evening.
