Evanger

Evanger is a former municipality in Hordaland county, Norway.

It was created by a split from Voss on January 1, 1885. At that time Evanger had a population of 2,045.

On 1 January 1964 the districts of Bergsdalen and Eksingedalen with 251 inhabitants were merged with Bruvik and a part of Modalen to create the new municipality Vaksdal. The rest of Evanger, with 1,075 inhabitants, was reunited with Voss.
