Esperance Star

Esperance Star

Esperance Star is a dive liveaboard operating out of Brisbane, Australia. She gained some notoriety throughout the country for having located approximately 19 previously unknown wrecks along the coast of southern Queensland.

Her long time skipper, Trevor Jackson, was the driving force behind most of these discoveries. Captain Jackson was awarded the 2005 Oztek 'Diver of the Year Award' in recognition of his efforts. The book Wreck Diving in Southern Queensland outlines many of the wrecks discovered and discusses a world record wreck dive in search of AHS Centaur, lost off Brisbane in 1943.

The Esperance Star is a steel 17 metre vessel, built in Tasmania in 1973.
