List of characters in Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu

This is a character guide for the Super Famicom game Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu. Please note that because the game has never been officially released in English-language territories, the names as presented here are the product of fan translation. The alternate name spellings in parentheses are taken from the book Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu: TREASURE. Furthermore, it is possible that should Nintendo of America elect to localize Seisen no Keifu for the North American market, many of the names could be altered further or changed entirely. The same also holds true for the equally large markets in Europe and other PAL territories.

For general information about the game itself, see the main article.

Lords

Sigurd

  • Class: Knight Lord

is the son of Lord Byron (Vylon) and a descendant of Baldo, one of the twelve Jugdral Crusaders. He eventually inherits the Tyrfing, Baldo's sword, from his father. Ethlin is his younger sister, and her marriage to Cuan of Lenster makes him his brother-in-law as well as his best friend. Sigurd is the prince of Chalphy Castle of the Kingdom of Grandbell. He leads an invasion of Verdane when Adean is kidnapped from Jungby Castle, during which he meets his wife, Diadora, and instantly falls in love with her. He then leads an invasion and occupation of Agustria after his friend Eltosian is imprisoned there. During the occupation his son Celice is born. Sigurd is accused of treason against Grandbell and is forced to take refuge in Silesia. He returns to Grandbell later, eliminating the lords that put the blames on him, only to be killed in Alvis' plan. His son Celice takes over in Chapter 6 of the game, finishing what he started. According to the end of Chapter 6, Sigurd was well loved by many people of Jugdral continent. Oifaye calls him a "kindhearted man" when he rescues Shanan at Genoa Castle in Chapter 1. King Mananan of Isaac often looked to Sigurd's father Byron for advice. According to unofficial manga, he was born in Gran 734; he stands 178 centimeters tall, and he weighs 70.2 kilograms.

When Sigurd was younger and training to be a knight, he met Cuan of Lenster and Eltosian of Nodion of whom he quickly befriended. One night, they made a pact to each other, saying that they would always assist each others' dukedoms in times of desperate need.

His name is based on one way to translate the name Siegfried, the legendary hero in Norse mythology who slayed a dragon. However, the reference is not completely accurate since the mythological Siegfried's sword is the Balmung, which is not the sword for Baldo blood inheritors in game, but for the Odo blood inheritors.

Celice

  • Class: Junior Lord – Lord Knight
was chronologically born in Agustria (of Grandbellian heritage) between Chapter 2 and 3 in the game. During his infant times, his mother Diadora was captured by Manfloy, leaving him without mother. Eventually, as Sigurd approached Barhara, Celice was sent into Isaac under the protection of Oifaye and Shanan. He was also raised by Adean, who acted a surrogate mother.

Celice was taught how to fight by Shanan, and grew up with several other children, including (but not restricted to) Delmud, Lester, Lana, Skasaha and Lakche.

As son of Diadora, Celice has two half-siblings: Julius and Julia. He doesn't know at first, but at a certain point of the game Levin tells him. In Isaac, the citizens claim Celice the Prince of Light while calling the Prince of the Empire, Julius, the Prince of Darkness.

Playable characters from Sigurd's Tale

Noish

  • Class: Cavalier – Paladin

is a member of the Chalphy squad, serving under Sigurd. He has the skills Duel and Critical. Ayra is arguably his best suitor. He is predestined with Lachesis.

Oifaye (Oifey)

  • Class: Paladin

is playable in Celice's tale in Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu. He serves as Sigurd's advisor in Sigurd's tale. He is also Sigurd's distant cousin and Shanan's best friend.

Alec

  • Class: Cavalier – Paladin

is Noish's assistant and best friend. He is somewhat a womanizer. He has the skills Pursuit and Awareness. He is predestined for Sylvia and Briggid. Fury is arguably his best suitor.

Arden

  • Class: Knight (swords) – General

is a heavily armored unit from Chalphy, Grandbell, who is restricted to swords until promotion. He has the Ambush skill. He finds the Pursuit Ring directly south of Heirhein Castle, Agustria, in Chapter 2. He is similar to Doga from Marth's games. He is predestined for Ayra, Fury, and Brigid. Ayra is arguably his best suitor.

Azel

  • Class: Mage – Mage Knight

is a mage and nobleman of Velthomer, Grandbell. Descendant of Fala. Son of Victor the womanizer and paternal halfbrother of Alvis (his mother was Alvis's mother's favorite maid). Worried about the cleric Aideen, he drags his friend Lex into joining Sigurd's army. He has the Pursuit skill. He is predestined for Aideen and the thunder mage Tiltyu; Tiltyu is arguably his best suitor, also being his childhood friend. According to unofficial manga, Azel was born in Gran 739. He stands 168 centimeters. He weighs 50.5 kilograms, and his blood type is A.

He is believed to be dead after the Battle of Barhara, but other rumors say that he is taken into custody by Alvis and died of sickness there. This is most likely credited to Alvis' words to Sigurd, "Azel may be a half-brother of mine, but he means the world to me."

Lex

  • Class: Axe Knight – Great Knight

is a descendant of Axe Crusader Neir. He is from Dozel dukedom. He is the son of the avaricious Langobalt and younger brother of Danan. He hates his family, and his father Langobalt hates Sigurd's father Byron (Vylon). Langobalt assassinated Prince Kult on the way back from Grandbell's war with the Kingdom of Isaac (also known as the Isaacian-Grandbellian war), and the holy axe Swanchika is an enemy-only holy weapon, along with the Falaflame, Gungnir, and Thorhammer. Lex is the first Fire Emblem character to be mounted on a horse and wield an axe, and the second one is his nephew Johan. His promoted form, Great Knight class, has been carried over to the Game Boy Advance game Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, as an alternate promoted form for the Knight and Cavalier classes. He has a special skills called Machibuse (Ambush) and Elite. Lex is a descendant of the Axe Crusader Neir, but because he only has Minor Neir blood, he would not be able to use the Swanchika even if it was an obtainable item, the same holds true for Azel (Minor Fala) and Tiltyu (Minor Tordo), as only those of Major Blood can wield the holy items. However, the Swanchika, Falaflame, Gungir, and Thorhammer are unobtainable without the benefit of cheat devices, such as hacking tools.

Lex is also Holyn's rival for the heart of a swordfighter named Ayra the Princess of Isaac. His brother Danan is the dictator of Isaac. Danan's regime was derived from the Isaacian-Grandbellian conflict, masterminded by Manfloy. According to Sigurd's son Celice, the Isaacian people largely suffered under Danan's regime. Lex's nephews, and Danan's sons, Johan and Johalva are obsessed with Ayra's daughter Lakche. Lakche can only recruit only one of them, and after the recruit, she must kill the other one. Johan's class is the same as Lex's class, but Johalva fights on foot. A curious fact about Lex is that pairing Ayra with him and then pairing Johan or Johalva with Lakche constitutes first-cousin marriage.

Cuan

  • Class: Duke Knight

is the arrogant Prince of Lenster and descendant of Noba. He is Ethlin's husband and Sigurd's brother-in-law. Sigurd and Eltshan met him when they got trained together at the Royal Academy of Barhara. His name is a reference to the Irish mythological character Cúchulainn and to the Irish mythological character Cian. His father King Lenster had a tie to Ayra's father King Mananan. He has the Continue skill. He gets the legendary lance Gae bolg (Gayborg) in Chapter 3, but gets to use it only briefly, thus leaving Sigurd at the beginning of Chapter 4. However, he passes the Gae bolg to his daughter Altenna, who gets to use it much longer. According to unofficial manga, he was born in Gran 735. He stands 175 centimeters. He weighs 64 kilograms, and his blood type is O.

He is killed in an ambush by Trabant while crossing the Yied Desert in attempt to reinforce Sigurd in Barhara.

Ethlin

  • Class: Troubadour – Paladin

is Sigurd's sister and Cuan's wife, originally a noblewoman of Chalphy, Grandbell. She succeeded upon the death of her mother. Her sister-in-law Diadora gives her the Light Sword, which she can pass onto her son Leaf. She is introduced with Cuan and Fin in the third turn in Prologue. She is a reference to the Irish mythological character Ethniu, the mother of Lugh (Fire Emblem: Fūin no Tsurugi has a character named Lugh). She has the Critical skill. According to unofficial manga, she was born in Gran 739. She stands 164 centimeters. She weighs 47.1 kilograms, and her blood type is A.

She is killed alongside Cuan while protecting Altenna during Trabant's ambush.

Fin

  • Class: Lance Knight – Duke Knight

A Lenster Knight and Cuan's apprentice. Cuan guides Fin through the first half of the game. Fin has the skills Pursuit and Prayer. He raises Cuan's son Leaf and Lachesis's daughter Nanna between Sigurd's tale and Celice's tale. He is also the only character who fights in both Sigurd's tale and Celice's tale. He is a mythological reference to the Irish mythological character Fionn mac Cumhail. His best suitor is arguably Lachesis, as influenced by Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, which he also appears in. He exits in Chapter 4 and returns in Chapter 7.

Midale (Midayle)

  • Class: Arch Knight – Bow Knight

is the strongest Jungby Knight. He is wounded at the beginning. He joins Sigurd after Sigurd retakes Jungby, being determined to rescue his beloved Aideen, whom he is predestined for. He has the skills pursuit and charge. He is one of the most controversial characters of Sigurd's tale. According to unofficial manga, he was born in Gran 736. He stands 182 centimeters. He weighs 70 kilograms, and his blood type is A.

He is predestined with either Aideen or Briggid.

Aideen (Adean)

  • Class: Priest – High Priest

is a noblewoman of Jungby, Grandbell, daughter of Lord Ring, and descendant of Ulir. She is sometimes considered one of the more useful characters in Sigurd's tale. She has more predestined lovers than any other female character in Sigurd's tale. They are Midale, Azel, Dew, and Jamuka. Midale and Jamuka are her best suitors. She's a gentle, sweet, but still strongwilled young woman who was supposed to become a warrior, but preferred to become a cleric instead since she knew she wouldn't be able to kill people, preferring to aid her friends instead. At the very beginning, she is abducted by Gandolf and sent to Marpha, Verdane. She is the Rena character of Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu. Like the original Rena character, she appears with the Julian character of the game (Dew); Jamuka releases both of them from captivity. She bears Rana (Lana) and Lester. According to unofficial manga, she was born in Gran 738. She stands 166 centimeters. She weighs 47 kilograms, and her blood type is B. She not only survived the Battle of Barhara, she was also alive at the time of the game's ending, living in Tilnagogue Castle, Isaac, though she retires from the battlefield. She acted as a surrogate mother and also raised Celice and others.

Dew

  • Class: Thief – Thief Fighter

is the thief who helped Edin escape from the clutches of Prince Gandolf of Verdane. Originally, he was just a young thief caught by Jamuka as he tried to steal the treasures of the castle, but Jamuka forgives his life and in exchange charges him with becoming Edin's escort. He has Taiyouken (Sun Strike) skill. He is the game's representation of the Julian pseudo-archetype. He is derided by new players of Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu, and takes a long time to train. Like the original Julian character, he appears with the character representing the Rena pseudo-archetype (Aideen). As a homage to Marth's games, he is predestined for Aideen and Lachesis, but his best suitor is Ayra. Only Ayra, Sylvia, and Brigid let him pass Taiyouken onto Celice's generation. Ayra lets him pass Taiyouken to both children, while Sylvia and Brigid each lets him pass Taiyouken to only one child.

Ayra

  • Class: Swordfighter – Swordmaster

is the first recruitable Myrmidon and Swordmaster in Fire Emblem history; she is also the first recruitable enemy in the game. She is the first character to appear in the default demo sequence of the game, alongside her beloved nephew Shanan. She is introduced at the beginning of Chapter 1 of Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu, shortly after Eltosian is through meeting with Sigurd. She possesses the Ryuuseiken (Astra) and Mikiri (Nihil) skills. She bears Lakche and Skasaher if paired. She lets Dew pass Taiyoken and Holyn pass Gekkouken to Celice's generation, and the same goes for Brigid. She is a descendant of Odo, one of the 12 Jugdral Crusaders, and the daughter of King Mananan, who was assassinated by Duke Reptor of Freege. Ayra was born and raised in the main castle of the Kingdom of Isaac, the northeasternmost country in the continent of Judgral. According to unofficial manga, she was born in the Gran Calendar year 738; she stands 169 centimeters tall, weighs 53 kilograms, and her blood type is AB. At the onset of Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu her older brother Mariccle was king of Isaac. Mariccle was prepared for death when his sister Ayra went into exile with his son Shanan to the Kingdom of Verdane to escape the Isaacian-Grandbellian War and to preserve the main branch of the Odo bloodline. Upon arrival to Verdane, she and Shanan were taken hostage; being a swordwoman, Ayra had no choice but to work as a mercenary for Genoa castle to protect Shanan. She was presumed dead during the game's ending, but it is unconfirmed whether she is actually dead or alive at the time of the ending.

She is predestined with Adan, Holyn or Lex.

Jamuka (Jamka)

  • Class: Bowfighter – Sniper

is the Prince of Verdane and the younger brother of Gandolf and Kinbois. Alternatively according to some sources such as the Treasure, Jamuka is the son of a deceased younger brother to them. Unlike his brothers, he's kind-hearted and fair; he shows compassion towards Edin (whom he has some feelings for) when they meet and lets her escape alongside Dew. He is the only member of Sigurd's army who is of royal heritage but not holy crusader descent. He has the skills Duel and Continue. According to unofficial manga, he was born in Gran 737. He stands 173 centimeters. He weighs 60.3 kilograms, and his blood type is O.

Diadora

  • Class: Shaman

is the wife of Sigurd and descendant of Heim through her father Prince Kult and of Loputousu through Cigyun, and also the halfsister of Alvis. She was a villager living in a small village in the Spirit Forest in chapter 1,when Sigurd met her in the forest, she was not allowed to associate or contact with men, but fell in love with him, and were wed in Agustria. Manfloy captures and brainwashes her in Chapter 3, and leaves her for Alvis to find; after Sigurd's death, she marries Alvis and bears his children, the twins Yurius and Yuria. She has the Awareness skill, which she passes on to Celice. According to unofficial manga, she was born in Gran 740. She stands 156 centimeters. She weighs 43 kilograms, and her blood type is AB.

Lachesis (Rackesis)

  • Class: Princess – Master Knight

is the Princess of Nodion and younger sister to Eltosian. She is sharp-tongued, tomboyish, strongwilled and has a strong sense of pride. She is choosy about having a suitor; some fans claim that she has an incestuous crush on Eltoshan (who helped raise her) since she openly says she won't pick a man who is inferior to him. She has Charisma skill. She promotes from Princess to Master Knight. She is arguably the best suitor for Fin and Beowulf. She bears Nanna and Delmud. According to unofficial manga, she was born in Gran 740. She stands 158 centimeters. She weighs 47 kilograms, and her blood type is A.

Fire Emblem Thracia 776 reveals that after moving to Lenster in the wake of the Battle of Barhara, Lachesis tries to visit her son Delmud in Agustria. She crosses the Yied Desert alone, and becomes missing in action; Nanna and Delmud presumes her dead afterwards.

Lachesis' name is a reference to one of the Greek Moirae Sisters, who control the threads of fate. The reference, however, is only in name.

Beowulf (Beowolf)

  • Class: Free Knight – Forrest Knight

is purported to be a mercenary from Conote, with a certain distaste to its governor. He knows Eltosian. His best suitor is arguably Lachesis. He has the Charge and Pursuit skills. According to unofficial manga, he was born in Gran 724. He stands 175 centimeters. He weighs 66 kilograms, and his blood type is B.

He is the bastard father of Felgus of Fire Emblem Thracia 776. Both can equip a special sword called 'Power Sword', which is said to once be possessed by Beowulf (it is sometimes translated as Beo no Ken, which is translated as 'Beo Sword', which implies that it's Beowulf's personal sword). He somehow attained a legendary status in Thracia 776, as implied in Felgus' ending.

Holyn

  • Class: Swordfighter – Forrest

is the son of the lord of Sophara Castle, Isaac. He is a descendant of Odo and as such distantly related to Ayra, who is arguably his best suitor, and essentially her male counterpart and bodyguard. He joins Sigurd after he has been beaten in the arena in Chapter 2. He has the skill Gekkouken (Moonlight Sword) and Pursuit. Only Ayra, Sylvia, and Brigid let him pass Gekkouken onto Celice's generation. Ayra lets Holyn pass Gekkouken to both of her children. Brigid lets him pass Gekkouken to only one of her children. Lachesis is a good suitor for Holyn, but she does not let Holyn pass Gekkouken to Celice's generation, as it works only for unmounted character. Those who advocate this pairing use the fact that Gekkouken is uncontrollable as an argument for their case. According to unofficial manga, Holyn was born in Gran 733. He stands 185 centimeters. He weighs 80 kilograms, and his blood type is A.

He is a prince of the neighboring kingdom of Isaac, having a crush on Ayra at first sight. Obviously, he is predestined with her.

Levin (Levn)

  • Class: Wind Mage – Sage

is the Prince of Silesia and the son of Queen Rahna and the late king of Silesia. He is a direct descendant of Sety, the founder of Silesia. Before "Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu" began, he ran away and went missing from home. During his travels, he met Sylvia, a dancer. He serves as Celice's advisor in Celice's tale. He is similar to Maric from Marth's games. He has the skills Critical and Continue. In Chapter 4, he goes back to Silesia castle, and his mother Rahna gives him the legendary tome Holsety. His best suitor is arguably Fury. Only Fury, Sylvia, and Tiltyu let him pass Holsety onto Celice's generation. He is really protective to Yuria in the second half of the game. According to unofficial manga, he was born in Gran 736. He stands 177 centimeters. He weighs 60 kilograms, and his blood type is A.

After the battle of Barhara, Levin is killed by Manfloy (shown in the opening, after the game is finished several times), but Holsety resurrected him, at cost of several parts of his memories, which would explain his behavior in the second part of the game.

Sylvia

  • Class: Dancer

is purported to be a noblewoman of Edda, Grandbell. She is a descendant of Blagi. She was orphaned as a child and raised by a heartless man, but she left him for good by the time the events of Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu began. When a rumor of Prince Levin was missing, she met Levin during his travels, and traveled together. She then had affection for him and fell in love with Levin. She has the Prayer and Continue skills. She lets Levin pass Holsety and Claude pass the Valkyrie Staff on to Celice's generation. She bears Lynn (Leen) and Corpul.

Fury (Ferry)

  • Class: Pegasus Knight – Falcoknight

is a pegasus knight of Silesia. Her sister, Mahnya, is the captain of the army there. She comes across Sigurd while searching for the wayward Prince Levin. She is the only playable female character in Sigurd's tale who is not of royal heritage, noble birth, or holy crusader descent. She has the Pursuit skill. She lets Levin pass Holsety and Claude pass Valkilli to Celice's generation. She is arguably the best suitor for Alec and Levin. She bears Phee and Sety. According to unofficial manga, she was born in Gran 738. She stands 171 centimeters. She weighs 47 kilograms, and her blood type is A.

After the battle of Barhara, Fury ends up becoming the queen of Silesia after Rahna died naturally. She awaits her husband but died due to sickness, with her children looking for their father. Thracia 776 reveals that Fury's canonical husband is Levin.

Claude (Claud)

  • Class: High Priest

is a direct descendant of Blagi. He prays at the Blagi Tower. He shows up with Tiltyu in Chapter 3. Sylvia is arguably his best suitor. According to unofficial manga, he was born in Gran 730. He stands 188 centimeters. He weighs 66 kilograms, and his blood type is AB. He is predestined with Tiltyu, Sylvia or Aideen, although there has been rumors that he might be directly related by blood with Sylvia.

He is shown to be clairvoyant. If paired with Aideen, in the beginning of the Battle of Barhara, he warns Aideen of a disaster that will wipe out Sigurd's army. This comes true as Alvis decimated Sigurd's army and Aideen ends up surviving.

Tiltyu (Tailto)

  • Class: Thunder Mage – Mage Fighter

is born from the main house of Freege, one of the Dukedoms of Grandbell. Her father is Leptor, who held a high position in the Empire (but felt it undermined, due to him being power hungry). The house of Freege descended from the Crusader Tordo, and specializes in Thunder Magic, with their special weapon the Thor Hammer Tome. Tiltyu couldn't use it, since she didn't have a major Tordo Blood within her (she has minor); Reptor had the tome at the time of Sigurd's campaign and gave it to her elder brother, Blume. Other than him, Tiltyu also has a sibling named Ethnia. After surviving the Battle of Barhara, she and her daughter Tinny lose contact with Tiltyu's son Artur and go to live with Blume, where Tiltyu withstands for years the abuse of her sister-in-law Hilda to protect little Tinny. She ultimately dies of illness and depression, an ironic fate considering that she used to be a cheerful, headstrong girl.

She is predestined with Claude, Azel and Lex. The Lex pairing happens to be interesting as their children inherit both the Wrath and Ambush skills, thus meaning that when their children are at low health, they go first and automatically critical, therefore making them nearly unstoppable army killers.

Brigid

  • Class: Sniper

is Aideen's twin sister and a direct descendant of Ulir. She was abducted by pirates at the age of five and raised as the daughter of their captain in Orgahil, north of Agustria. She grew up into a kind yet tough sniper; some of her companions were jealous of her and betrayed her, which makes her join Claude and Tiltyu and later pledge herself to Sigurd's cause. She bears the thief Patty and the bowfighter Faval if paired. She lets Dew pass Taitouken (sunlight sword) skill and Holyn pass Gekkouken skill to Celice's generation, and the same goes for Ayra. Midale and Jamuka are arguably her best suitors. Brigid lets Taitouken or Gekkouken skill be passed only to one of her children, while Ayra lets these skills be passed on to both children. According to unofficial manga, she was born in Gran 738. She stands 169 centimeters. She weighs 51.2 kilograms, and her blood type is B. She is predestined with Jamuka, Midayle and Alec.

Though considered dead after the Battle of Barhara, there has been rumors that she survived the battle, but suffered amnesia, taking the identity of Eyvel and wields a sword, as shown in Fire Emblem Thracia 776.

Lachesis' daughter. Raised by Finn, she helps Leaf in defending Lenster.

Tinny

Tiltyu's timid daughter. Also abused by Hilda, which causes her to resent the woman. Despite Blume's care towards her, she still considers him one of the causes of Tiltyu's death and did not hold back in defeating him later. She is also shown to be friendly with Blume's daughter Ishtar.

Aless

  • Class: Cavalier - Paladin

Eltoshan's son, born during Sigurd's tale. He grows up hating Sigurd, thinking that he killed Eltoshan, until Celice reveals that their fathers are actually friends. Altenna

  • Class: Dragon Knight - Dragon Master

Cuan and Ethlin's daughter, Leaf's big sister. She inherits the Gae Bolg. Raised by Trabant, she later realizes the truth of his father and defects to Celice's army thanks to the help of Trabant's son Alion. She has a crush on him.

Major non-playable characters

Eltosian (Eltshan)

is the King of Nodion and descendant of Hezul. As a direct descendant of Hezul, he is able to use the legendary Demon Sword, Mistoltin. He attended the Royal Academy of Barhara with Sigurd and Cuan. He also is a friend of Beowulf. He has a younger sister named Lachesis. His wife Grahnye was from Lenster. In Chapter 1, he backs up Sigurd after either Genoa or Marpha is conquered, as Elliot attempts to take Evans Castle. In chapter 3, if Lachesis talks to him, he will give her the Earth sword, then return to Sivall and get killed. He looks similar to Camus from Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryū to Hikari no Tsurugi and Fire Emblem: Monshō no Nazo.

Alvis

is the Emperor of the Grandbellian Empire. He is the son of Victor, the womanizing duke of Velthomer, and Cigyun of Yied, and paternal half-brother of Azel. He is of Fala descent on the paternal side and of Loput descent on the maternal side. At the prologue, after Sigurd conquers Jungby Castle, he visits Sigurd and gives him a Silver Sword. At the end of Chapter 5, Sigurd and his army fall into a fatal trap set by Alvis. Some of Sigurd's army survived the trap, but it is unclear who the survivors are. This incident has been discussed on many occasions. The game confirms that Aideen, Tiltyu and Ferry survived the trap. Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 confirms that Lachesis, Brigid, and some others survived the trap. Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu also confirms that Aideen is still alive at the time of Chapter 6 (which picks up 17 years after Chapter 5), and that she now works in the Tilnanogue abbey in the Kingdom of Isaac.

In the second half of the game, Alvis ends up realizing that he was being used by Manfloy as a pawn, as his son Yurius becomes the incarnation of Loptous and spreads a reign of terror throughout Jugdral despite Alvis' own objections. Alvis perishes in Celice's hands in revenge of Sigurd. In Thracia 776, it is revealed that Alvis had a son named Cyas with his trusted confidant, Aida.

Manfloy

He is the archbishop of the Loput Sect, who strives to revive the Dark Lord Loputousu, and is also the mastermind behind the Holy War and the Isaacian-Grandbellian War. He kidnaps and brainwashes Diadora in Chapter 3 and sends her for her half-brother Alvis to find so he can marry her. Manfloy manipulates Alvis and offers the dark tome of Loputousu to Yurius later on in the game.

In the final chapter, Manfloy brainwashes Yuria just like he did to Diadora, but Celice eventually saves her when he kills Manfloy for the one being responsible for his parents' sorrows. He was also responsible for the assassination of Ayra's father King Mananan, with the use of Reptor the duke of Freege. In Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, it is revealed that Manfloy has a granddaughter by the name of Sara and killed her father.

Trabant

The King of Thracia. He is shown to be ruthless and uncaring, due to the upbringing of Thracia's harsh nature. Though he comes off as a despicable man, his biggest wish is to make his people prosper and happy, regardless whether his actions will bring him to hell. He raises Altenna so he can utilize the Gae Bolg; it is also insinuated that he cares for her because of his unrequited love for Ethlin, Altenna's mother, who married Cuan. After passing the Kingdom of Thracia and Gungnir to Alion, his son, he goes to his final battle and dies there.

Blume

Leptor's eldest son. Although he is shown to be a ruthless ruler, Thracia 776 reveals him to be protesting against Julius' proposed child hunt propaganda, but couldn't do a thing to object it. Despite ignoring Hilda's torture of his sister Tiltyu, he is one of the people that cares for Tinny. He is defeated for good in Manster, after handing over the Thor Hammer tome to his daughter Ishtar.

Hilda

Blume's wife. She is a power hungry, sadistic woman who takes pleasure in committing evil things, including torturing both Tiltyu and Tinny and supporting Yurius' child hunt propaganda. She is of minor Fala blood, though due to a game bug, in the final chapter, she has a major Dain blood. She pressures Ishtar to marry Yurius, to give her a higher position in the Empire by granting her a link with the Emperor.

Ishtar

Eldest daughter of Blume and Hilda. Despite her mother's abuse towards Tinny, Ishtar cares for her and becomes one of her best friends. She is in love with Yurius, though she is against his child hunt propaganda. She makes her last stand in Barhara, fighting for her love and perishes.

Sandima

He is the Lopt Sectarian who is behind Verdane's invasion of Grandbell in the prologue and Chapter 1.
