Diogenes of Seleuceia, was an
Epicurean philosopher, who has frequently been confused with
Diogenes of Babylon, who was also a native of Seleucia. He lived at the court of Syria, and on terms of intimacy with king
Alexander Balas, the supposed son of
Antiochus Epiphanes. But he was put to death soon after Alexander was pushed of the throne c. 146 BC.
