A dutty snowcone is a variation of the snowcone popular in Scarborough, Ontario. It is a snowcone with a small amount of cherry syrup and then heavily flavored to taste with bitters. This popular summertime treat is almost exclusively made with Angostura Bitters due to the influence of the large population of immigrants from Trinidad. The name dutty snowcone is likely derived from the patois term for dirty.
