Digit preference

Digit preference

Digit preference is a cause that makes measuring e.g. blood pressure to give different results when different persons measure it. Different persons round off the value, either to a lower one or a higher one. One person, for example, would round off 117 mmHg to 120 mmHg, while another one would round it off to the lower value 115 mmHg, thus giving another result.
