Diego Romero (born 1964) is an American ceramic artist. His heritage is cross-cultural. His father, Santiago Romero, was a traditional painter from Cochiti Pueblo. Diego, like his mother, was born and raised in Berkeley, California.

After art school in California he attended the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe. Shortly after graduating from IAIA he enrolled at Otis Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles. He moved on to UCLA where he received his MFA in 1993. He now lives and works in New Mexico. In 2003 he married Lisa Tiger, who gave birth to their first child in 2004. A collection of his work toured Europe in 2006. He is represented by galleries in Santa Fe and New York, and his work can be seen in other collections.
