Personal

Rose goes by the nickname "Pooh". This name originated from when Rose's grandmother referred to him as such when he was an infant, referencing the fact that he had yellowish skin and a slightly chubby demeanor like Winnie-the-Pooh. Rose has a tattoo on his left biceps depicting a wizard holding a staff in one hand and a basketball in the other. The entire image is below the word "Poohdini". This is ironic because Rose has a phobia of medical needles, even refusing to get stitches as a result.

A South Side native, Rose is also an avid Chicago White Sox fan. Soon after Rose was drafted by the Bulls, he was invited to throw the first pitch at U.S. Cellular Field for the Cross Town Classic between the White Sox and the Cubs in 2008.

Rose has signed a shoe deal with Adidas for an undisclosed amount of money.
