Deantoni Parks

Deantoni Parks (born November 2, 1977) is a now wave/avant-garde/experimental drummer based in Brooklyn, New York City. Raised on a steady diet of funk, Southern soul and gospel, Parks played with the local high-school jazz band by age 5. After exploring jazz as a teen and while enrolled at Berklee College of Music, his focus turned to the mechanistic beats of electronic music. Parks is a member of Kudu (Nublu Records) and Astroid Power-up! (Earstroke Records). He has toured as the drummer for The Mars Volta, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Me'shell Ndegeocello, Alice Smith and Lenny Kravitz. He has also appeared on recent John Cale, Alice Smith and Me'shell Ndegeocello albums.
