Dagfinn Føllesdal

Dagfinn Føllesdal (sometimes spelled Follesdal) (born June 22, 1932, Askim, Norway) is the Clarence Irving Lewis Professor of Philosophy at Stanford University, and professor emeritus at the University of Oslo.

Føllesdal has written extensively on topics relating to the philosophy of language, phenomenology, existentialism, and hermeneutics.

At Harvard, Follesdal studied under Willard Van Orman Quine.
