At the age of 16, she went to Europe to begin her career in modeling. Three years later she returned to Peru, and on April 16, 2005 she entered national beauty pageant, winning the title Miss Peru 2005. In May she competed in the Miss Universe 2005 pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand, where she placed in the top ten. This was the highest placement by Peru since 1996.
On April 18, 2006, Débora Sulca crowned her successor, Fiorella Viñas.
