Cytora hedleyi is a species of small land snail, a terrestrial gastropod mollusc in the family Liareidae.
Distribution
This species is
endemic to
New Zealand, found in the northern half of the
North Island.
Shell description
The shell is very small, narrowly
umbilicated,
turbinate, but the
spire is more narrowly conical than in
Cytora cytora. The surface is densely spirally lirate, crossed by membranous axial ribs that become progressively wider spaced over the last
whorl, and without hair-like processes.
The colour of the periostracum is pale yellowish-brown.
Shell height is up to 2.4 mm, and width up to 2.3 mm.
