Cunicului

Cuniculus: The Etruscan Cuniculus was their way of watering. A long trench was dug underground, connected to a diverted river/stream. Vertical shafts led to fields, which where watered when the water level was pushed up. It could also drain damp soil. The Romans also borrowed this idea from the etruscans.
