Craig Robinson (born October 25, 1971) is an American actor and stand-up comedian, from Chicago, IL who has appeared in feature films and a number of television programs. He plays Darryl Philbin on the American version of The Office. He was bumped up to star status in the fourth season. He also plays a club doorman in the film Knocked Up. Craig appears as a bouncer in the music video for the Red Hot Chili Peppers song "Hump de Bump", in which he acts as a bouncer for a block party and does not let Chris Rock enter. He had a large role in 2008's Pineapple Express, in which he played a hitman for a drug lord. His past television roles have included a security guard on Arrested Development, and a government worker on Friends.
Robinson was arrested in June, 2008 by the Culver City Police Department in West Los Angeles on suspicion of possessing MDMA and methamphetamine. Two charges were dropped, while the third, possession of MDMA, will be dismissed pending completion of a drug awareness program.
