Connexions Card

Connexions Card

The Connexions Card was a smart card for 16-19 year olds in England, created as part of the government-funded Connexions service in an attempt to reduce levels of truancy and unemployment. The card allowed a young person to collect points for learning, work-based training and voluntary activities, usually by being awarded points for attending a course of study.

The program was run by Capita for the Department for Education and Skills. It was closed in February 2007.
