Coin snatching, often nicknamed the
Chinese elbow trick, consists of a simple
trick in which coin(s) are placed on the elbow and the hand is placed on the shoulder and the hand swings forwards to catch the coin(s). If done correctly, the trick will look like the coin(s) have
teleported with a bang.
The current world record for coin snatching is 328 coins.
Technique
To start off, a coin, an
elbow, a shoulder, and a hand are required (preferably those of the conjurer, and of the same limb). Using the strongest hand (right for
right-handed people and left for
left-handed people) one puts their hand on their shoulder and makes sure their arm is in a position in which the coin(s) won't slide off. Then, one swings their arm forwards and grabs the coin(s).
